Who cares this movie did not make any money nor break any ground socially. You people are always looking for the magic pill that will bring the races together when it is not possible. Why don't we try co-existence for a change. Black Women date white men everyday and nobody cares except .

1. the media
2. Robert De Niro
3. Halle Berry
4. Black Women
5. White Males

I always thought that Black Women and White Men were perfect together because both of you are coniving, ambitous, SOBS.

and what about a white man dating a black woman who looks like white?
That is really where we are now, because since the beginning of time everyone has been mixing, some people just seem to think it occurred last year or something. What about showing the real mixing of the already mixed up people? Oh I'm sorry that is in the closet still because we are chewing on 1950's topics.

If you are as old as I am you will admit that this race relationship crap has not gone any further than the 50's and 60's. It is the black women who give other black women hard times for wanting or dating a white man.
White men rape dark skinned women on the average of 1million per year around the world. Why isn't any one mad about white women and the dark man? Or is that old hat? No! Why couldn't she have been living away from her family and all of her friends were white and then she meets this white man as an equal or his better then what? but the settings is always the same everyone has their mouths and eyes wide open like its news.
Reality is really something different.

Merq...once again, on the money there...call Tiki out! I write for a living, but I wouldn't sit about and waste time nitpicking grammar in a discussion board. Seems a bit petty, huh? We all use vernacular, or slang, or even little :) on a discussion board. Are you gonna' call me out Tiki for the use of gonna'?

Tiki: So you have no opinion on the movie, but you'd likely sit there with the close-caption on and nitpick the grammar? That's so... sad.

This is the internet - people are typing "on the fly," and often very casually, so as to make it more like a friendly (or at least not-in-school) conversation.. of course, I'm assuming you know anything about that... my bad.

Merq: Grammar Nazi, NeoNazi, we get all types on MMW.

April: keep posting, girl. Is it just the ethnicity of the cast that reminds you of you and your husband, or were you faced with similar choices?
