You know… i must agreed that whites (sometimes blacks) and Asians have inter-racial marriages… and theirs kids become like Latin look- alikes and they seem pretty damn good looking too… now don’t get me wrong it’s not that i’m against that or anything…but i’m sick of hearing these people that it’s the most beautiful race there is… I mean these people are thinking in a erie similiar way as when hitler started to brag that the aryan race being the Alleged superior race… i say BS to those people! i mean to be sincere, i’m part Latin and Asian ( part mexican and part japanese to be exact) but you don’t see me braging about it… man, world war 3 comin’

Even though I am half-asian, I do not necessarily believe that they are the “best combination” on this earth. I believe that yes, it is a great mix…however, I have seen my fair share of half-asian non beautys as well. My friends who happen to be half-asian are mostly pretty good looking (alot better than average) but I have come across some that aren’t as attractive. It’s all in the eye of the beholder.

Via Mixed Media Watch I got to this article from Psychology Today, annoyingly titled “Mixed Race, Pretty Face?” The article rehashes the experiment from last fall that “found” that hapas were (scientifically) more attractive than whites or Asians. However, this article gives a detail about the study that the articles I read last fall did not: The experiment by Gillian Rhodes, a psychologist at the University of Western Australia, found that when Caucasian and Japanese volunteers looked at photos of Caucasian, Japanese and Eurasian faces, both groups rated the Eurasian faces as most attractive. These visages were created by first digitally blending a series of faces from each race into “composites” to create average, middle-of-the-road features typical of each race. Past studies show that “average” features are consistently rated as more attractive than exaggerated features�such as an unusually wide forehead or a small chin. […]

I’m going conduct a study with my three cats, two have black fur, one has white. I’m going to flash pictures of black and white furred kittens on the screen and see which ones they prefer!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To say hapas are the most beautiful people is assuming too much. Devon does not look any less asian that “pure” asians. Like you said, such talk is a bunch of bull.
