You all might be aware of this

I think it’s been disregarded because it’s so multi layered.
Is any one aware of the race and gender problems in the renderosity/poser community? I would like to hear some one tear those people apart, ( please ).

Wow. I’m a Sims fan and I am glad that some fans have made a variety of skins recently (at least for Sims2). But yeah, there is a bias.
Part of the problem is that people feel “free” to express whatever they can dredge up in a virtual environment. Cause it doesn’t matter, right?
I remember being at a second cousin’s house while in college (baby shower family function), and she and her stepsister were playing a v.v.old version of Family Feud. The options at the get go were to choose the gender and race (2 choices - black or white) of your team. The cousin’s stepsister was absolutely mortified (as only a 16 YO girl can be) to be made a “black” person in the game. Totally overreacted and threw a hissy fit.
So damn glad she’s not related to me.

Poser is a graphics program so it’s more straight forward representation. Arguably the pornography that comes out of that community is less harmful because they don’t use real people. But over all there are higher levels of participation. The consumers are authors. The majority of the products are Asian or blond women or accessories for them.
For people who don’t know what I’m going on about here are some links. I have been selective but it’s not hard to find things like this (some links contain nudity)
