I’m a big fan of filmmaker Greg Pak. Over the years, his career has reached over to work as an accomplished comic book scribe. Most recently, he has created an Asian American superhero, boy genius Amadeus Cho—on the run from a nefarious secret agency. The character is introduced in the story “Mastermind Excello,” Greg’s contribution to a special anthology issue (#15) of Marvel’s Amazing Fantasy series. It’s in stores today. I’m told that Marvel.com is holding a special online poll for the issue. The character from Amazing Fantasy #15 who receives the most votes will get a miniseries. Wouldn’t that be cool if Greg’s story got picked? To vote, head on over to Marvel.com.

For those who don’t know, me and the fellas competed in a battle of the bands called the Dew Circuit Breakout on MTV2 last week. It was us and a band from New Jersey called Hidden In Plain View. Check it out, the home team won! We’re goin’ to the finals!

That means that three bands remain. All three bands will play live on MTV2 on Saturday Dec 10th. One band will be chosen as the winner by a combination of your votes and judges’ decision. The winner will go on a national tour sponsored by MTV2, appear in a nationally promoted festival and make more MTV2 appearances. In other words, for an artist like me, this is the big break I’ve been hearing about since, like 1992!
