Doogie Howser has a thing for half-Asian girls

(Thanks to Jeff for this one!) I had seen a brief clip of this a long time ago but completely forgot until we got this email from Jeff:
So, I was watching the sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS right now (no, I don’t usually watch this, I’m just eating dinner and flipping channels), and Neil Patrick Harris’s character says to his friend something to the effect of, “Ya know how I liked half-Asian girls? Well, I like Lebanese girls now. Lebanese are the new half-Asians.” In the next scene, his friend meets a Lebanese girl at a bar, and he’s immediately attracted to her. I guess it helps she’s a babe.
What can I say…? I guess us mixed Asian gals have to pass the exoticization torch over to pur Lebanese sisters.

That dumb new Doogie Howser show (which notoriously advertised its series premiere with Doogie the dumbshit lusting after “half-asian chicks”) uses this idea and so do reality shows like Cupid, The Bachelor, Elimidate, Who Want’s To Marry A Millionaire?, Joe Millionaire, etc etc. That whole idea being, “men on the hunt looking to “find love” (read: satisfy this male TV fantasy to “score”/”get girls”) and it’s getting real old real fast.
