Sigh… this is the dilemma with blogging. By writing about something horrible like this, are we just giving them more publicity? So it’s with ambivalence that I let you all know about this story, which has been making the rounds. Lamb and Lynx Gaede are 13 year-old twins who perform as “Prussian Blue.” Basically, they’re the white supremacists’ answer to The Olsen Twins. From ABCNews.com:
Known as “Prussian Blue” — a nod to their German heritage and bright blue eyes — the girls from Bakersfield, Calif., have been performing songs about white nationalism before all-white crowds since they were nine.
“We’re proud of being white, we want to keep being white,” said Lynx. “We want our people to stay white … we don’t want to just be, you know, a big muddle. We just want to preserve our race.”
Lynx and Lamb have been nurtured on racist beliefs since birth by their mother April. “They need to have the background to understand why certain things are happening,” said April, a stay-at-home mom who no longer lives with the twins’ father. “I’m going to give them, give them my opinion just like any, any parent would.” …
Songs like “Sacrifice” — a tribute to Nazi Rudolf Hess, Hitler’s deputy Fuhrer — clearly show the effect of the girls’ upbringing. The lyrics praise Hess as a “man of peace who wouldn’t give up.”

It just strengthens my resolve to raise my children completely tolerant. Proud of their roots, but also enriched and intrigued and wanting to learn about other cultures, races, languages, other countries and their histories and realize that the entire world is a blend of beautiful people and lands and beliefs, and that not anyone is above another.
My children are allowed to read anything and listen to anything they wish (age and language appropriate of course)
and so far they well rounded individuals that dont preach one faith, one race, or anything that is intolerant of anothers belifes. If they dont agree with anothers opinion, they listen politely (there is always something new to be learned) and in with the info, out with the garbage. And they know the difference.
The John Lennon song “Imagine” sums up our hopes for the world we wish to live in one day.

Anyone of any race wants to preserve there race and they have that right. The right they do not have is to demean or degrade the quality of life of a different race or ethnic group. Humans are all part of one species genetic diversity is what keeps us strong as a species. The dominant species on the planet.

These little girls have been an eye opener for a lot of us, but we all must realize that they have been molded and it is not fair to attack them for what the adults in thier lives have portrayed as a way of living and praise. If we must attack them, we must do so in a manner where we don’t come outside of our character. For the “non-whites” (it feels insane to even typr such a phrase), you all know who you are and what you stand for, thngs like this should only help you all improve yourselves and prove to groups like this that they have their information twisted, that as individuals we choose our lifestyle not as a race. On paper I am black, but my resume states my education, my work ethic, my family background as being kept together by both parents and knowledgeable children who have the ability to know that hate i an unwanted form that should not exist in this world today because our neighbors are of different cultural backgrounds which inables us as a family to see past the “ignorance”, and accept those around us for who they are and not only learn about them, but learn from them. Limitation is what groups such as the White Surpremacist live off of. We as people can not limit ourselves to such things as race and culture, we will never get far in society alone. In closing my response, there are more important issues going on in this world. The worse thing we all who don’t believe in such maddness can do is feed into it. If you see them coming look the other way and sip your coffee while reading your paper. Old news!!!

Prussian blue was NOT found at the gas chamber and as soon as this was confirmed (although its practically illegal to examine the holocaust scientifically), there were a million reasons cited as to why that was the case. The Prussians, in a historical sense, were Baltic peoples who eventually became part of Germany) and were referred to as Germans under the Kingdom of Prussia, so I suppose the name could also be a trubitute to what the twins feel is their disappearing heritage.
