Self-hating old guy

The self-hating old man from The Boondocks is still grateful that he’s mixed in today’s strip. Even though the comic usually makes fun of this character, and he *does* handle his identity in problematic ways at times, it is interesting to see someone from an older generation proclaim his mixed identity (although it is usually to get away from his blackness). It’s not every day that you see an older mixed character like this appear, even though it *is* as a troubled figure.
