Actress Jennifer Tilly knows when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em, as she won the Ladies no-limit Texas Holdem event at the World Series of Poker, held last week in Las Vegas.

Tilly, who was Oscar-nominated for her performance in Woody Allen’s Bullets Over Broadway. Known for her distinctive speaking voice, Jennifer Tilly has made her name mostly in the indie/B movie scene. However, some of her earlier performances were in such popular ensembles as Cheers and Frasier, and recently in the Jim Carrey starring blockbuster, Liar Liar, and voicing the Monsters, Inc. franchise for Pixar.

Tilly, of European and Chinese mixed descent, is the first celebrity to win any World Series of Poker event. Meanwhile, she continues to pursue stage acting, and has four movies scheduled for release in 2005.
