MMW has been telling you about the apparent cross-burning epidemic that ’s sweeping the nation. Now interracial couples are getting their whole house burnt down! Scary stuff, but at least the Feds are doing something for a change:
An interracial couple’s home was set ablaze last month in Vidor; now the FBI and ATF are jointly investigating what, they say, appears to be a hate crime. The house was completely burned to the ground in the early morning hours of May 21. Monday the FBI and ATF came together to asked the public for its help with any leads.
A white female in her 40’s and a black male in his 20’s lived in the home at the end of Taylor Street in Vidor. Luckily, they were not inside the home at the time of the arson and no one was hurt. But racial slurs were left on the garage—the only structure still standing. The words used are so vulgar, we can`t even show the pictures.

There is a bill board on the interstate that cites an incident where a man murdered his wife,vandalized her grave several times, I think he also terrorized her family and was set free. As a black student of the high school i have to say i love it here and the people are very nice . Yes hate crimes still happen unfortunatly but they dont all happen in vidor, its all over the us. Also people writing about the billboard dont even know the history of it. There are billboards about a women that was murdered by her husband, her father spends his money on the billboard to punish the man that did it and to not let his daughters death be in vain. Yes there are few black people that live here , because most stay away because they hear all the bad press. it saddens me that people would say such mean things about the people in this town when they have never even been here before. Also i used to live in silsbe/ kountze area and there are no black people to be seen there so maybe black people should see how they treat you there, becuase here in vidor we really dont care.
