Wow… we’re up to at least 4 cross-burnings in the last 7 months. It’s unbelievable that interracial couples still provoke this kind of hate crime in our day and age. This time it happened in a suburb of Chicago. From the Chicago Tribune:

Barnett said he has lived in his house in the 200 block of Spruce Lane for almost four years, and has never had any problems there. Barnett, whose wife, Carol, is white, said he does not know if his interracial marriage had anything to do with the incident…

“It’s the symbolism that bothers me,” Barnett said. “It’s like someone is recruiting for the KKK.”
